Inorganic Synthesis, Coordination and Medicinal Inorganic Chemistry Lab.

Research activities
Our multidisciplinary research focuses primarily on three different domain e.g. (i) multi-step synthesis of organic ligands and photo-active transition metal complexes, exploring the electro- and photo-chemistry of the transition metal complexes theoretically as well as experimentally, photo-cytotoxic application of the photo-activable transition metal complexes or nanoparticles hybrids for targeted photo-chemotherapy, (ii) asymmetric organocatalysis reactions by employing a metal complex-DNA non-covalent hybrid, (iii) Computational studies to investigate the interactions between transition metal complexes or organometallic compounds and biologically important proteins/enzymes.
